What does EIDR actually do for my film?

EIDR gives your film a permanent, globally unique entertainment-industry ID.

It helps distributors, platforms, festivals, and industry partners identify the same film consistently across different systems. It also helps connect your film to accurate metadata and can improve discoverability across search engines, knowledge graphs, and industry databases.

EIDR does not replace copyright registration, DRM, or proof of ownership.
